This time we travel to the state of Tlaxcala. Just a short 2 hours from Mexico City you find the state of Tlaxcala known to be the smallest state in Mexico. The views are stunning as you travel to this state. Very notable is the active volcano of Popocatepetl which is visible almost the entire way to the state. We visited an the archaeological zone of Cacaxtla which provides you with endless information about the ancient history of the area. The capital city of Tlaxcala is colorful and rich in culture. There is a relaxing vibe as you walk around the centro historico.
