It has been a little over one year since we traveled and I was looking forward to our visit to Sayulita Mexico. We could hardly contain the anticipation of a relaxing week away from the normal everyday life. I knew very little about Sayulita other than when I had just read on the internet a few weeks before the trip. 

Sauylita is located about 25 miles from Puerto Vallarta Jalisco Mexico on the Pacific coast backed by the Sierra Madre Occidental mountains, and has a population of approximately 6,000 people. Sayulita is unspoiled by the tourist industry and is a surfing paradise. 

We landed at the Puerto Vallarta International Airport and took an easy $40 cab ride to Sallulita. Public transportation and taxi services at a fraction of the cost are available just by leaving the airport grounds. Public transportation is just a short walk to the public streets.
