Guanajuato - An important historical city in Mexico. So much culture, so much history and so much to see and do. This place is filled with friendly people and a vibrant street scene. It is located in central Mexico in an area called "El Bajio". It is made up of alleys that cars cannot pass through therefore most streets are underground. The city is home to the Festival Internacional Cervantino held in October. The city capitalized on it's rich minerals on the surrounding mountains. One of the mines ,La Valencia, accounted for two thirds of the word's silver at the height of it's production.
