Bahias de Huatulco

Las Bahias de Huatulco or the bays of Huatulco is the next stop in our photographic journey through Mexico. Las Bahias is located in the state of Oaxaca positioned to be the next spot for American tourists.

The shoreline is unspoiled and pristine. The Mexican government has strickt restrictions for developers in order to maintain the magic of peaceful, calm and unspoiled surroundings.

We stayed at a very inexpensive hotel just within walking distance of the beach. I was easy and cheap to grab a taxi and explore the different bays.

Each one of the bays was unique and provided the visitor with a full day of food, drink and relaxation. Truly, las Bahias de Huatulco is every persons ideal retirement spot.

We have been to many of the same places as you. We have been coming down 4 of the last 5 winters to Mexico in our motorhome. We parked our motorhome at the little hotel beside the lighthouse in the second picture. We didn't make it down to Huatulco this year but loved Playa Entrega just down the road from the lighthouse, it is great for snokelling and is a real Mexican beach. We also met up with the guy, his friend and the snake at the public parking area at Tangolunda where we were parked for a couple of weeks. We spent some time talking with these guys and also have a picture of us with the snake. Glad you have enjoyed your time in Mexico.
