Trip to the CityIt's a Saturday morning and I get the urge to be creative. After having spent countless hours in front of the computer for most of the week, I'd figure a trip to the city would be in order. I could not convince by wife or 13 year old to come along with me so I took the trip on my own. I had to plan out the day and visualize the type of images I wanted to capture. First of all, I was taking public transportation to and from the city. Secondly, I knew the Chicago Auto Show was taking place at McCormick place.
What equipment to take? I was doing plenty of walking so carrying all my lenses and cameras would be out of the question. Between wide and normal would be my best bet so in my bag I packed the 35mm fixed lens range finder Fujifilm x-100 and the Canon full frame DSLR with a fixed 50mm f1.8 lens. I've been wanting to challenge my composition skills by intentionally staying away from zoom lenses.
