It's time for our yearly travels to Mexico. This year our trip is planned for 3 weeks. The only schedule we have set is our air travel. We leave Chicago on Sunday and return April 3rd. I've set a few goals I'd like to accomplish during this trip.
Expand my collection of landscapes: For this I'm planing an extensive road trip trough the east cost of the country starting at Veracruz, Oaxaca and culminating in Antigua Nicaragua.
Street Photography in Mexico City: My Fujiefilm X-100 is fully charged with an ample supply of extra batteries. I can't wait to capture the pulse of this vibrant city.
Flamenco Dancing: Last year we attended a great dinner show at a wonderful restaurant in Mexico City. The flamenco dancers and performers were very talented at their art. With the help of our social media networks I contacted a the performers and tentatively set up time to visit and photograph a rehearsal in preparation for a presentation. I'm exited about this project because in addition to photography I'm a avid enthusiast of Flamenco music. I've set up several dedicated galleries with Flamenco related photographs I've taken over the years.
I traveled lite with respect to my gear. All I packed is the Sony A850 full frame DSLR body, my CZ 24-70mm f2.8 for landscapes, the Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 in case. For the streets I got my beloved X-100.
Stay tuned for the my images coming soon!
